How-to LimeSurvey-Collaborative editing of surveys
The following will show you how to grant others access to your own surveys as a survey administrator.
1. Request the URZ create a LimeSurvey group
To be able to grant other people access to your surveys, you need a LimeSurvey group, which can only be created by the URZ.
To have a group created, write an email to it-service@uni-heidelberg.de with the following information:
• Group name (max. 20 characters)
• First and last names as well as the usernames (Uni ID or project number) of the group members
• The person responsible for the group if it differs from the person sending the email and the survey administrator
Please note: If a person does not need to create their own surveys, they do not need to apply for registration as a survey administrator.
2. Survey permissions
You should now be able to manage the rights within the group.
2.1. Select the survey that you want to work on with other people.
2.2. Click on “>” to open the menu on the left.
2.3. Select "Survey permissions".
2.4. You can select individual users or a user group from a list by clicking the down arrow.
2.5. Confirm your selection by clicking “Add user” or "Add user group".
2.6. Click "Edit survey permissions".
2.7. Select the permissions that you would like to assign to the selected user or user group.
You can also remove the permissions by selecting the menu item “Survey permissions” on the left.
