Service Student Administration (HIS-SOS)

The University is introducing the new campus management system Heidelberg Campus Online (heiCO). In future, heiCO will be used to manage all administrative processes of the student career, from application and admission to the degree programme through to graduation. The previous systems (HIS modules, LSF, Sign-up etc.) will be gradually replaced.

Digital student administration for a wide range of campus management services

This digital student administration, based on the HIS system, particularly HIS-SOS, enables the collection of student data and course of studies, administration of fees and the generation of notices.

The data collected from the student administration provides the basis for all other services integrated in the HIS system, such as HIS-POS (examination administration), HIS-ZUL (student applicant and admission administration) and LSF (course administration).

Access and Requirements

The service is made available as needed for employees involved in student administration. You can direct any related inquiries to the Computing Centre's IT Service.

Technical Information

HIS-SOS is a part of the HIS software from HIS Hochschul-Informations-System eG.
