The presentations will highlight different perspectives on the topic of open source and information security. bwInfosec, with the information security team based at the URZ, aims to improve information security at the state's universities and colleges.

YoKI workshop: Proper handling of open source language models using the YoKI platform as an example
The workshop includes an overview of practical application knowledge and the theoretical background to generative language models. An introduction to the university AI platform “YoKI” (based on open source models), which places particular emphasis on data sovereignty and on which different language models can be tested, is part of the workshop.
E-Science-Tage 2023
Every two years, Heidelberg hosts the E-Science Days, an interdisciplinary series of conferences on research data management and open science.
In the era of digital transformation, research needs a coordinated environment. To achieve this, powerful infrastructures and tools that ensure the storage, management and security of research data throughout its lifecycle play a crucial role. The long-term, sustainable and transparent accessibility and availability of data facilitate scientific progress. They are important conditions for quality assurance and interdisciplinary and international cooperation in the research and education community.
