How-To Login to SAP
This guide describe how decentralised Windows or Mac users can log on to SAP.

Login to SAP (Windows)
1. Setting up a remote desktop connection with the SAP terminal server
- Go to the search field at the bottom left and enter "Remote desktop connection".
- Position the mouse pointer on “Remote desktop connection” and press the right mouse button, then select "Pin to taskbar".
- Press "Remote desktop connection" in the taskbar
- Enter „sapterm.urz.uni-heidelberg.de"
- Press "Show options", enter user name "ad\Uni-ID".
- Select the "Local resources" tab. Press the "More" button.
- Tick the box next to "Drives".
- Press "OK" and "Connect".
Attention: Save your data on your own computer or network drive.
The data on the terminal server is automatically deleted periodically.
2. Connecting to the SAP terminal server.
- Start Remote Desktop, select the connection via SAPTERM and press "Connect".
- Enter your Uni ID and password.
3. Logon to SAP (SAP logon is on the desktop of the terminal server)
- Select the productive system and press "Connect".
- Enter your Uni ID and password.
Login to SAP (Mac)
1. Requirements:
a. Install the Microsoft Remote Desktop App
b. Configure the Microsoft Remote Desktop App
Export local file directory. This is important for data exchange between the Mac and the SAP system. For example, export a line item report from SAP and then save it on your own MAC.
c. Click on "Add" and close the window.
2. Login to the SAP terminal server.
a. Double-click on the entry, enter Uni ID and password. The connection is established.
3. Start SAP, log on to SAP (SAP logon is on the desktop of the terminal server). Log in with the Uni-ID and the corresponding password.
